McCain tells NBC tonight that he is hopeful financial issues advance enough to enable Friday's debate.Translation: I hope everyone forgets about my tantrum on Thursday.
There's really no way McCain can skip the debate now and not lose face.
If he skips, Obama gets a nationally-televised townhall.
I predict that while Obama goes into the Oxford debate looking steady and ready, McCain will try to upstage the event by bringing along his pal Palin and her bag of Alaskan Distractions.

Uhm, given your last post, I'm not sure that bringing the bulldog along would be a very good idea. I think the only thing that could save a McCain appearance would be an impromptu appearance by Spaghetti Cat.
